Olive’s Lil’ Angels Learning Center is known to most of our children as “school”. Our facility and classrooms are clean, safe, busy, joyful and pleasant. When the children arrive, they are at school ready to learn! I believe this is what draws parents to us and why our facility is different from most.
Not only are we set up as a school, but we have a professional environment with highly trained and qualified teachers who love, teach, and nurture the children. When children leave our Pre-K program, many of them become gifted and talented students and some have even been moved up a grade level!
We love, educate, mentor and support all of our children. Each classroom has a window that parents, director, etc. can observe children and staff at all times. We also have surveillance cameras throughout the center. When parents and visitors come to our facility, the children are always busy learning!

Olive’s Lil’ Angels Learning Center (OLALC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit child care center. Founded by Shaneka N. Hogg and opened in September of 2007, OLALC currently employees 14 full-time and 2 part-time teachers/staff members. OLALC has also proudly been a member of the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce since opening.
Olive’s Lil’ Angels Learning Center was named after Mrs. Hogg’s mother, Olive Logan. Mrs. Hogg felt that “Olive” is such a beautiful and unique word with a variety of powerful meanings that it was only fitting to honor her mother’s legacy by encompassing the power of the word she was named after.
In September 2006, OLALC broke ground and begin building at 1021 N. Joe Wilson Road in Cedar Hill, TX. On September 4th, 2007, we opened Olive’s Lil’ Angels Learning Center with a licensed capacity of 76. In February 2013, OLALC expanded and built two additional classrooms. We are now licensed for 128 children and currently are at full capacity with a waiting list. OLALC continues to provide a high-quality educational program for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old (45% of our children come from low-income homes).
OLALC was the 1st Accredited Child Care Center in Cedar Hill, TX . National Accreditation Commission (NAC) is a nationally recognized childcare program that is endorsed and managed by the National Association of Child Care Professionals (NACCP). NAC was established to assist early care and education programs in providing quality enhancements for children, professional development opportunities for staff, and effective management skills for administrators. OLALC is also TEXAS SCHOOL READY! We have qualified teachers with a low turnover rate. We offer a clean, safe, loving, Christian environment for our children.
